RSS Marketing

I hope this information about RSS is as enlightening and helpful to you as it has been to me since I first began researching it in early 2005 — RSS has come a long way in the last 4 years. I’m sure you’ve noticed how quickly things change in the online world of search engines, RSS and internet marketing. One week you’re making easy money with Google ads, the next week you need a website, then an RSS feed, then audio in your RSS feed, then video… Wander over to the right-hand column and scroll down to RSS Archives for the very latest 2009 info.

Since things change so fast on the web, I’ve made my free RSS Resources e-book a living document with hyper-links to my Free RSS Resources website. Whenever I mention a resource on the internet, you can click on the link I provide in the e-book and you’ll end up at the resource, regardless of whether its web address has changed since the last edition of the e-book. If the resource goes away entirely, I’ll direct you to a similar resource or to a note explaining what happened. Dead links are high on my list of pet peeves. You can always check the RSS Resource List on my website. I regularly add things which I think you’ll find useful as you explore RSS feeds and related topics.

Be sure to check out the free VIDEO traffic strategies e-book too!

Want to know the fastest way to start making a profit from your blogs and RSS feeds?

Use them to market physical products and e-books to your readers while you collect affiliate commissions for doing so!

Rosalind Gardner, the undisputed Queen of Affiliate Marketing, helpful soul that she is, just released the 2009 edition of her Super Affiliate Handbook on February 16, 2009. She’s updated it many times since she first published it in 2003, always packed full of great material.

Go take a look right now…

Ros says her business-building methodology has remained unchanged because her basic strategy has worked extremely well ever since she became an affiliate in 1998. She doesn’t advocate any grey-hat or black-hat SEO stuff that’ll get your site de-listed, and she gives you a ton of helpful marketing tools and resources.

I’ve been putting Ros’ handbook to good use during the last few years. It’s loaded with great advice on all aspects of affiliate marketing, including her experiences with different programs and networks, list-building, pay-per-click advertising and the best ways to go about making money as an affiliate.

If you don’t already have Ros’ book, you owe it to yourself and your bank account to check it out now, you won’t regret it!

It’s still the best resource out there for learning how to put affiliate marketing to work, making lots of money for you through your RSS feeds, blogs and websites!

Remember Rok Hrastnik, the RSS marketing expert who wrote Unleash The Marketing And Publishing Power Of RSS and The Business Case For RSS last year?

Rok tells me he’s hard at work on a massive update and rewrite of his “Unleash The Marketing Power of RSS” package for 2006 and wants your practical RSS tips and experience, case studies, and questions about RSS marketing (he’ll answer them in the new book). He’ll give you full credit and include a backlink to your site in the e-book! Have you created any RSS services or are you an RSS vendor? If so, Rok wants your information to be included in his new package.

So if you’d like some more free traffic for your site, why not contribute your experiences to Rok’s effort today? Send them to me at (address deconstructed in a futile attempt to avoid spam) free-rss-resources at prosperall dot com, and I’ll pass them along to Rok right away (and give you full credit, of course).

You might remember from my free 2005 e-book, Who Else Needs The Hottest Publicity Machine On The Web Today? or All You Really Need To Know About RSS, that I pointed out that Microsoft might impose a few changes as they bulldoze their way into the RSS space…

In an article published today by Elizabeth Montalbano of IDG News Service, she states that Robert Scoble, a Microsoft technical evangelist and blogger, says that Microsoft has not made a final decision as to whether it would rename RSS in the final version of Internet Explorer 7 like it did in the beta version.

Will Microsoft rebrand RSS? Will they change the spec? Will every RSS feed be required to carry Microsoft banner advertising? We shall see. Stay tuned to this channel for the latest info. Montalbano quotes Scoble as saying “We’re just trying to be compliant with everyone here not do something evil.”
